Two members of BikeWalk Glastonbury participated as members of the steering committee for the Town’s recently approved Road Safety Action Plan. The aim of this plan is to improve roadway safety and reduce traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries. This study was funded by the Safe Streets for All Grant Program. Priority areas for actions are Main St. (East Hartford line to New London Tpke.), New London Tpke. (Main St. to Sycamore St.), Hebron Ave. (Main St. to Eastern Blvd.), Griswold St. (Main St. to Candlewood Rd.) and Main St. (Buttonball La. to S. Mill Dr.).
