Ten members of BikeWalk Glastonbury assisted with the on-bicycle physical education
program at Glastonbury High School in April/May, 2026. The program included maneuvering
around a course on the front lawn of the school and riding a loop around the campus on grass,
sidewalk and driveway, up and down a slope and using turn and stop hand signals. BWG has
long advocated for expansion of this program, now in its second year, following a few years of
classroom-only bike instruction. BWG funded the rental of a fleet of bikes for the first year.
